Yolanda Clay

Yolanda is a writer whose stories focus on people in the margins. Her characters are Black female-centered, and her scripts work to unravel monolith portrayals that we are so often use to seeing about underrepresented communities. As a person with a disability, she writes characters with disabilities as their own agents of change, just like in real-life. Her work also encompasses diversity of socioeconomic statuses. Yolanda is an imaginative storyteller. She weaves complex tales of life's realities with sometimes a dusting of magical realism.
