
Tifini Kamara
Tifini Kamara is a 2021 Fulbright Research Grant candidate and National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship contender. She holds a B.S in journalism from Central Michigan University, with a concentration in public relations. Next spring, she will earn a Master's of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Management, and Arts and Culture Outreach and Advocacy graduate certificate, from the University of Denver, where she currently serves as a Community Engaged Fellow at the Center for Community Engagement to advance Scholarship and Learning (CCESL). She believes there's power in identifying trauma, healing from it, and using one’s lived experiences to participate in the transformation of one’s community, but especially through the lens of art + storytelling.
