Julie Lopez

Julie A. Lopez is a Portland-based artist, photographer, filmmaker, and writer. She began her career in photography and has recently moved into filmmaking and writing, with a particular interest in personal stories, family, memory, and the ways our experiences shape the stories we tell.

Her first narrative short film, Love, Bigfoot, is based on a true story from her childhood. Julie is the original story writer, co-screenwriter, and producer of the film, which has received several awards and is currently in festival circulation.
