Jessie Sears

Director, Producer, Screenwriter

Jessie Sears is a Producer, cinematographer, photographer, writer, and editor based in Portland, Oregon, and an enrolled Karuk Tribal member. 
 
She is currently filming as Production Coordinator and Assistant Camera for “Undamming Klamath” with Swiftwater Films, chronicling the Indigenous-led largest river restoration in history and is also a cinematographer for Oregon Public Broadcast. She is also currently co-producing "The Caldera", an environmental documentary capturing the lithium mine set to be built on the Oregon-Nevada border.
 
Other recent work includes Camera Operator and Assistant Camera for “This is Nikki” with Third Party Films, "Living Legacies" with Old Grove Films, “Cascadia” with Cornerstone Media, and “Little Wing: Behind The Scenes” with Paramount Pictures.
 
Jessie has also led and supported branded content and corporate projects as a Director, Assistant Director, Associate Producer, Camera Operator and Production Coordinator, producing visual stories for global companies such as Columbia Sportswear, Google and eBay.
 
She is a member of the Portland-based Indigenous Media Guild, supporting Indigenous professionals in the Arts, Media and Entertainment industries; as well as the Desert Island Studios collective, a production cooperative centered on BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, people with disabilities and women-led projects.
