Jen Elkington

Screenwriter, Director, Producer

Jen is a director and screenwriter who works in both narrative and documentary films. She has a degree in Theatre Arts from Southern Oregon University, a Certificate in Performance from American Conservatory Theatre, and a degree in Video Production from Portland Community College. She worked as a stage actress in the Pacific Northwest for ten years before transitioning to writing and directing films. She was the winner of the Couch Collective Screenwriting Contest in the Spring of 2017 with her script, "The Secret Bonsai." The film went on to win Best Fantasy Short Film at the Oregon Independent Film Festival. Her most recent script, "The House of Vanishing Things," was a finalist at the NW Exposure screenplay competition and she plans on directing that film in February of 2019. For the past year, Jen has also been shooting a documentary about rodeo queens. She is hopeful about wrapping up that project in the next decade.
