Dawn Brooks Macleod
Dawn Brooks Macleod has a BA in Computer Motion Graphics from James Madison University’s School of Media Arts and Design. Dawn started working as a Compositor in Visual Effects in 1999 but later switched to managing Visual Effects for big Hollywood movies and TV shows. With over 20 years of Visual Effects experience, Dawn has worked on such films as I, TONYA, SIN CITY and THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE. Dawn has also written, directed, and produced two short films, “The Christmas Surprise” and “PDX Book Club”. She’s also written five feature screenplays, two original pilots and one spec TV episode. In 2015, Dawn helped create The Couch Film Collective (www.couchfilmcollective.org ) while living in Portland, OR to help other female filmmakers. Dawn is an honorary member of Film Fatales and she’s a long-standing member of the Visual Effects Society. Dawn’s passion is filmmaking and her goal is to become a Showrunner.
