Brandy Machado

I am a freelance filmmaker, licensed drone pilot, and writer based in Portland, OR. After being 100% set on studying film at UCLA after high school, I ended up getting a Women and Gender Studies degree from Harvard instead. Post-college, I realized that I still wanted to pursue film and signed up for the Northwest Film Center’s Certificate Program in 2015. I completed the program in November 2019. I've helped produce projects for Facebook, Google, Nike, and more. I have experience with freelance film work in real estate, education, politics, and advertising. I have also developed my own projects in narrative, documentary, and experimental genres. I am dedicated to telling the stories of women, queer folks, and POC and making sure they have representation behind the camera as well.
