Asia Keishai

Asia Keishai is a Portland-based screenwriter, creator, and emerging producer developing One Woman, a Black female-led drama series centered on friendship, identity, love, sexuality, and the complexities of growing into your twenties in modern-day Los Angeles.

Her work focuses on telling honest, character-driven stories that highlight the emotional depth and lived experiences of Black women, with an emphasis on queer narratives, community, and self-discovery. Through One Woman, she is building a grassroots creative movement, developing the project through live table reads, local casting, and community-driven events in Portland.

Asia is passionate about creating space for underrepresented voices both in front of and behind the camera, with the goal of expanding One Woman from a local production into a fully realized series.
