I am a producer/writer/director/interviewer and owner of Bullet Dance Films. I am also a producer/social media director/partner at Hellbender Media. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and have worked in PDX for many years as a filmmaker and also as a filmmaker in NYC. I started off as a PA on the feature film Feast of Love starring Morgan Freeman and Gus Van Sant's Paranoid Park and worked my way from a PA to 2nd Assistant Director to 1st Assistant Director to now a writer, producer, and director. I am also a practical effects artist and supervisor on sets and also have been visual effects supervisor on feature films. I know planning a shoot really well and coming in at or under budget and I am really good at shoe-string budgets up to higher budgets.
I am a complete extrovert and totally okay talking with everyone from money people to crew to promoting our films and part of why I love being a producer. Also, as a producer, our sets are first and foremost respectful, safe, inclusive, and run smoothly.
I have moderate to severe Rheumatoid Arthritis that I have had since I was 10 years old so I understand and know the disease well and how to work with my disease while being a filmmaker. And on our sets, we are always aware of my disease and the little things I do to preserve my energy batteries like sitting down when I need to, etc and I am able to always run our sets smoothly and get the job done. I am excellent at planning shoots, budgeting, and hiring crew as well as getting the film in the can and into post-production and then completed on time.
