Adam Sommer

Hello! My name is Adam Sommer. I'm 24 and I live in Mountain Park with my girlfriend and our two cats. I've always been an artist and experimented with different mediums. I grew up watching a lot of comedies and coming-of-age films passed down from my dad like Sandler movies and The Goonies but it wasn't until around 2019 when I started to fall in love with the greater scope of film after diving into the filmographies of Scorsese, PTA, and other great directors. During the Pandemic my buddies and would watch movies every night, streaming them to each other on discord. I fell completely in love with the medium and learning about the history of cinema but there was a pivotal moment in 2021 when I saw Dogtooth for the first time and realized this is something I want to invest myself into. Not only was that film extremely impactful for me, but the low budget nature of it made me feel like it was a tangible thing that with enough experience, I could do. Since then, I've spent the past few years obsessively learning about the craft of film from screenwriting to directing all the way to PA-ing.
