Adam Sweeney

Adama Creative is the professional moniker of independent filmmaker, photographer and music producer Adam Sweeney.

I’m passionate about quirky humans, vintage lenses, practical fx, and a good story. I continually strive to bring out the emotional resonance and authenticity of my subjects. I thrive on collaboration, and I love helping other artists realize their visions.

I came into filmmaking by producing music videos for my bands The Breaking and Gwythaints. I was soon producing videos for other bands and artists as well. The pandemic gave me time to hone my cinematography, editing and color grading skills. I've since become obsessed with all things film, and I'm particularly drawn to narrative work.

I've worn many hats, and I enjoy them all: Director, Writer, Editor, Cinematographer, Art Director, Colorist, Sound Design, Audio Mixing, Location Scout, Props, Costume, SFX, 2nd AC and BTS Photographer.

In my personal work, I use Panasonic Lumix S5iix and GH6 cameras with a hand-picked collection of vintage Minolta Rokkor lenses. I edit and color grade in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro, create digital fx in Adobe After Effects, and mix music and audio using Logic Pro X.
